BEECH
18 VINTAGE
On January 15, 1937, the Beechcraft Model 18 made its first
demonstration flight at the factory in Wichita, Kansas,
and it continued in production for thirty-two years. This
low-wing, all-metal, twin-engine monoplane was originally
intended as a six-to-eight-passenger executive or feeder
airline transport. As the years passed, however, the Model
18 was adapted to many uses and, in all, thirty-two different
versions were produced.

AVIATION ENTHUSIESTS
The fleet of vintage aircraft displayed at Fantasy of Flight
features aircraft whose accomplishments have earned the
admiration of knowledgeable aviators and inspired the imagination
of those who have always dreamed of soaring above the clouds.
The vintage aircraft, painstakingly acquired by lifelong
aviation enthusiast and founder of Fantasy of Flight, Kermit
Weeks, represents all eras of aviation from early flight
to the 1950s.
Some aircraft have been carefully restored to represent
the same dignity they possessed when they ruled the skies.
Others, shown in the immersion experiences, look exactly
the same as when Weeks acquired them. For more information

If we told you what this was,
we would have to terminate your command.
So don't ask. Hint.
SEAL Insertion / Harbor Patrol: The number one long-term concern of the US Navy.
The average SEAL will complete his career one inch shorter than his enlistment height, due solely to the endless wave impact loads on his spine. This craft has a suspension system: comprising non-corrosive fiberglass leaf springs and billet-aluminum airbags - tested to 60,000 pounds - for dampening the effects of errant wave impacts.
It can effectively neutralize a carrier battle group or major national harbor for the price of a Blackhawk. Come see it at Festivals of Speed. |

Creative Workshop Sport Special
For a moment, we imagine ourselves back in the late 1950's/early 1960’s - the hay day of motorcar racing - before computers - when cars were built by visionaries and artists, focused singularly on making their mark in the history books by building something that is faster, more resilient, more maneuverable than anyone before.
Before huge dollars and huge technology took over for trial and error, cars of this era were built based off of winning marques. Each builder would attempt to capture the essence of the successful cars, and infuse their own skill, ideas and experience into the mix – hoping to create the right combination to accomplish their goals. Behold the Creative Workshop Sport Special
